At the time of debate and voting on the stimulus bill, Americans did not hear any real debate about health care being a part of the stimulus bill. 

It was, however, a large part, including tens of billions of stimulus dollars for incentives to have all our medical records put into the government's database.  It set up a committee to determine the level of treatment to be followed, and set up authority for government bureaucrats to have authority to manage treatment at the time and place of care.  I have researched and provided the page numbers for everyone to read the significant parts of the stimulus devoted to government-run health care.
