The Effect on Employers of Taxing Health Benefits
If you own a business and employ anyone but yourself, this nifty little tool will show you exactly
how hard the government intends on raping you if this boondoogle of a "health care" bill gets passed...not to mention how it
will affect employees. If an employer is being taxed more, the chances of receiving raises and bonuses goes down; thus
playing right into the meme of "no one needs to make more than X amount of dollars because it just isn't fair". ~M
H/t to Americans for Prosperity and the GA Chamber of Commerence for the following information.
From BPC: This calculator will simulate the extra cost to you as an employer of not having an available group health plan
under the proposed "Public Option" legislation.
This legislation will require all employers to have a group health plan or suffer a penalty of 2, 4, 6, or 8 percent of their
payroll depending on the total payroll dollars.
This extra tax will cost you far more than simply supplying a group health plan, and in many cases also partially funding
that plan.
