With the House of Representatives passing the ACES bill (cap and trade, cost and tax) on Friday, June 26th, we have the absolute proof of our legislators ignoring the will of the people and completely ignoring the welfare of the people in favor of special interests.  This bill is designed to raise the cost of everything Americans have to purchase from power, vehicle fuel, groceries, and so forth on top of creating a net job loss.  And for what benefit?  The ruse about the environment is a joke.  The only benefit accrues to investors in carbon credit companies and to companies like GE getting lucrative contracts.  Furthermore, our representatives again voted without having read the bill and completely understanding its consequences.  The audacity of these legislators is incredible!

 

Alabama representatives listened to the people and voted against this horrendous bill.  These legislators deserve consideration in the next election.  However, Georgia is a different story.  We had four representatives voting for this abomination at the expense and to the detriment of their constituents.

 

We should do everything in our power to support the opponents of these traitors and get them out of office.
