The Gulf Speaks! A grassroots coalition of concerned citizens from Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas that demand that the government lead, follow or GET OUT OF THE WAY! The Obama administration's response to the Deep Water Horizon Oil Spill has resulted in devastation of our coastlines and related industries.
Let us protect our shorelines! Our lives and livelihoods are being destroyed across the Gulf Coast because of government obstruction and incompetence.
ww.TheGulfSpeaks.comJuly 22nd-24th a nationwide campaign for "Adopting the Gulf Coast" will be held in all 50 states. We ask all concerned organizations, including tea parties, 9/12 groups, environmental groups, civic groups and individuals to email, phone, fax and snail mail legislators in all 50 states demanding action to protect the Gulf Coast beaches from the landfall of the oil that is spewing into the Gulf of Mexico.
ACTION: If you believe that an act of criminal negligence was committed by your Federal Government with their lack of urgency to help the Gulf Coast, you can file a complaint with your state's Attorney General's office:

PROTESTS will be held for 3 days in cities nationwide, state capitals and at local legislator's offices. The focus of these protests will be to demand leadership and action from the State and Federal government to minimize the oil damage.
OUR DEMANDS ARE SPECIFIC:
· More waivers of the Jones Act - get every vessel possible into the Gulf. Stop the oil at the source not at the beach
· Get Government Agencies out of the way of cleanup effort - Clear the government red tape
· Hire a qualified crisis coordinator who will concentrate and prioritize the needs of the Gulf states and will interface with the Government Agencies eliminating conflicts
· Use every resource available to remove the oil from the Gulf of Mexico
· End all court action seeking to ban offshore drilling. Stop the economic destruction of the Gulf States.
· You are the federal government. This oil is on your hands! DO YOUR JOB!
